New Tribes Mission Prayer Requests

Good day everyone!

I was touched by a couple of prayer requests that went out by New Tribes Mission over the past couple of weeks and I'd love for my blogger family to lift them up in prayer with us!

  • Teachers!    Missionaries in Mozambique would like us to pray for teachers to teach their children while they are ministering the gospel to the tribes. We forget about that don't we?! I love how NTM brings the lives of the missionaries front & center! We seem to follow thought patterns that make us believe that missionaries are single, young people or married couples with no children. That's far from the truth! There are missionaries with 1 child to many children! Because there are no teachers for their children, mothers and fathers have to homeschool alongside their missionary responsibilities. We need to pray that God will provide for not just missionaries in Mozambique, but for those all over the world. It's a huge need that needs to be met, but we serve Jehovah who's track record says that He can do the impossible! Hallelujah!
  • Translation   Picture this: You've spent months with a tribe, learned their language, was able to share The Bible with them, helped them set up a church, raise up leaders, and it's time for you to leave. There's only one problem: It'd be awesome and beneficial to the new tribal disciples if they had a Bible to aid in their ministry and their personal spiritual growths. But, you've only got your English Bible and it's no point in leaving that with them since they can't read it! If only you could give them a Bible in their language...a few of them!  Well thanks to Bill and Donna Davis, the Palawano tribe will! They're currently in the process of translating Luke and would love, love, love our continual and fervent prayers that God will give them "stamina, clear thinking, and wisdom" along with "no interruption of their power source", the couple shares. What a task!

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.  And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

Mission: New Tribes

Hi Family! We hope that your holiday was truly blessed! Not blessed with things  but blessings of fellowship, giving, and most importantly, love. I think we take for granted the opportunity to be surrounded by people who  actually  want to be around us and who want to invest in our lives in some way! Although our year is full of holidays of pagan origin, they are awesome times for the family of God to gather together and just love on each other! Also, I surely don't take holidays that my husband gets off of work lightly! Love....

Mission: Christmas Blessing

Peace & love everybody! I've been so excited it's been hard to contain myself regarding today's mission! I hope that after reading this post, you'll be as encouraged as I am now! Known by most today as "the last Stalinist country" and according to VOM, "one of the most repressive and isolated regimes in the world", North Korea needs our prayers, monetary support, and volunteers. It's even being reported that a holocaust is occurring there as I'm writing this! Christians are being tortured, killed, and having "experiments" run on them all because they testify that Jesus is their Lord. Read a short synopsis of what Persecution.com has to say about North Korea and check out their related links. Thanks to our family over at The Voice of the Martyrs, we will be able to encourage and support our North Korean brothers and sisters! With our donations of $50 we will be able to sponsor a package that will have hard-to-get essentials, ...
