Leviticus 24:2 The continual burning of the candles in the temple depended on the pure oil. If the flame is burnt out in your spiritual life, if the passion has regressed, and the zeal has subsided, it may be time for an oil check. Our purity is threatened by the hundreds with each passing second of our life on earth; and this is without our direct influence. Add our lifestyle choices to the mix, especially those that we've justified as "not that bad", and you've got the recipe for some good 'ol spiritual fire extinguisher, or worse, a flame retardant.
