For the WIN

Whether subconscious or deliberate, many stand at the fulcrum of the old and new years and look back and ahead.

I ushered in the new year with fellowship and prayer with friends. As the day progressed it was apparent to me that even though the year just renewed, my plans for 2017 were well under way before it had begun.

There were events to plan, classes to take, goals to achieve, and budgets to make.

As I knelt in prayer the other morning talking with the Lord about the things ahead, I realized how just a little over a year ago, many of my present plans would not exist. A little over a year ago I wanted to go a different direction, but if I had gone in that direction, (of which I was so sure of at the time), it would have prevented me from my present future.

Had I taken it upon myself, to do what I was convinced made sense at the time, I would be facing a different reality.

God knew. Jeremiah 29:11.

I recall being upset that I was unable to continue my education in 2016. I was very dejected and felt I was being unfairly held back from my goals. As I prayed just the other morning however, I realized the Lord planted new desires in me. They are taking me in a different direction. Had I been tied down by the studies I wanted to pursue, I would not be free to pursue the vision God has recently placed in my heart.

God knows.

This is why we are commanded to

I am reminded of the Proverbs that admonish, though we may plan our way, the Lord directs our steps. Proverbs 16:9.

So to WIN in this New year. It's important to always consider:
What's
Important
Now

Pleasing God, trusting and following him- that's always important. Everything else will fall into place as it should.

Warm thoughts and Prayers,
 Chantel

Mission: New Tribes

Hi Family! We hope that your holiday was truly blessed! Not blessed with things  but blessings of fellowship, giving, and most importantly, love. I think we take for granted the opportunity to be surrounded by people who  actually  want to be around us and who want to invest in our lives in some way! Although our year is full of holidays of pagan origin, they are awesome times for the family of God to gather together and just love on each other! Also, I surely don't take holidays that my husband gets off of work lightly! Love....

I want to do both...Our secular culture over-romanticizes marriage and our Christian culture over spiritualizes it. The reality is that relationships between men and women are very down to earth...Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage® is about helping couples get it right, get along, have fun, and achieve a successful marriage." Mission: Christmas Blessing

Peace & love everybody! I've been so excited it's been hard to contain myself regarding today's mission! I hope that after reading this post, you'll be as encouraged as I am now! Known by most today as "the last Stalinist country" and according to VOM, "one of the most repressive and isolated regimes in the world", North Korea needs our prayers, monetary support, and volunteers. It's even being reported that a holocaust is occurring there as I'm writing this! Christians are being tortured, killed, and having "experiments" run on them all because they testify that Jesus is their Lord. Read a short synopsis of what Persecution.com has to say about North Korea and check out their related links. Thanks to our family over at The Voice of the Martyrs, we will be able to encourage and support our North Korean brothers and sisters! With our donations of $50 we will be able to sponsor a package that will have hard-to-get essentials, ...
