Because you prayed

Psalm 116: 2
Because he bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath!

Isaiah 37:21-22
The Isaiah son of Amoz sent this message to Hezekiah: " this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: Because you prayed about King Sennacherib of Assyria, the Lord has spoken this word...

God is very interested in our prayers. He wants us to know we can depend on him. He wants us to depend on Him. And depend on Him, we must. In him we live and move and have our being. Acts 17:28. We exist because of God.

When we pray He "bends down to listen" because he wants you to know he is dependable.
When we pray he is moved with compassion to answer, because it builds our trust in who He is.
When we pray, God speaks to our situation. He is the only one who can.

Our prayers are never in vain.
So Pray Until Something Happens.

Mission: Christmas Blessing

Peace & love everybody! I've been so excited it's been hard to contain myself regarding today's mission! I hope that after reading this post, you'll be as encouraged as I am now! Known by most today as "the last Stalinist country" and according to VOM, "one of the most repressive and isolated regimes in the world", North Korea needs our prayers, monetary support, and volunteers. It's even being reported that a holocaust is occurring there as I'm writing this! Christians are being tortured, killed, and having "experiments" run on them all because they testify that Jesus is their Lord. Build a defense in Judah: 2Chronicles 11-15

" This time I will Praise the Lord, so she named him Judah"- Gen.29:35 In our reading passage for today 2 things jumped out for me. First, 2 chronicles 11:5 tells us that Solomon's son, Rehoboam built defense cities in Judah. Their is safety and defense in praise, and it is the best thing to build a defense in. Psalms tells us that God inhabits the praise of his people ( Ps. 22:3) Second, one of the defense cities is Bethlehem. Bethlehem? A defense city, Who woulda thought, but then how fitting for God to make an appearance, in a defense built in praise. I thought it was cool. Share your thoughts!
