Moses meticulously arranged the tabernacle and its coverings and its furniture exactly as the Lord commanded him. It was only after he completed the task in entirety and as commanded, that the cloud of God's glory covered and filled, the work. In fact, the purpose of the work was for God's glory to dwell among the people.
There is no manifested glory of God without the work or act of obedience to God. There is no abiding presence of God, without obeying -submitting to- the voice of God. Obedience to his word is worship. When we worship God, we are rolling out the carpet so to speak, for the King. We usher in His glory.
