At the Door: A tool for Sharing Jesus

* Printable version below
Knock! Knock!

Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If any man hear My voice and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me. Revelation 3:20

Who's there?

I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6.

What do you want?

I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10:10
In me is life, and this life is the light of men John 1:4 As many as receive me, to them I give power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on my name. John 1:12 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believes on him is not condemned: but he that believes not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 3:16-18

The name?

Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins. Matthew 1:21

I'm a good person- I don't have to worry about that.

Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest...come, take up the cross, and follow me. Mark 10:21 Sin came into the world through one man, and his sin brought death with it. As a result, death has spread to the whole human race because everyone has sinned.
Romans 5:12 But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. Matthew 12:36 “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.John 3:3-4

“How can someone be born -again?”

“Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.” John 3:5-8 By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.
For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said ... what shall we do? Acts 2:37

OK then, what am I supposed to do?

“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved Acts 16:31 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water. John 7:38  So, Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive Acts 2:38, John 7:39 for as already said, As many as receive me, to them I give power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on my name. John 1:12

 What's it mean to Repent?

Turning from sin nature to God. For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; 2 Corinthians 7:10 Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord Acts 3:19

Hmm. What does it mean to be baptized?

Immersed-  in water in faith in the name of Jesus. When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water...Matthew 3:16 And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.’ Acts 22:16, Acts 8:38-39.
Immersed- in the Holy Spirit. Matthew 3:11, Acts 2:4,16-18.

In conclusion:
40“Be saved from this perverse generation.” 41 Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them. 42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. Acts 2:40-42

Mission: Christmas Blessing

Peace & love everybody! I've been so excited it's been hard to contain myself regarding today's mission! I hope that after reading this post, you'll be as encouraged as I am now! Known by most today as "the last Stalinist country" and according to VOM, "one of the most repressive and isolated regimes in the world", North Korea needs our prayers, monetary support, and volunteers. It's even being reported that a holocaust is occurring there as I'm writing this! Christians are being tortured, killed, and having "experiments" run on them all because they testify that Jesus is their Lord. Read a short synopsis of what Persecution.com has to say about North Korea and check out their related links. Thanks to our family over at The Voice of the Martyrs, we will be able to encourage and support our North Korean brothers and sisters! With our donations of $50 we will be able to sponsor a package that will have hard-to-get essentials,

Mission: Water4Christmas

Hi all! It's Missions Monday!! I get so excited! Truly! While on Beautiful Mess-Psalm 40 's blog, I was touched so deeply by her post on Water For Christmas! It's definitely a cause to support! We have all kinds of gadgets, movies, CDs, and gift cards that are all just distractions waiting to be bought and given this Christmas holiday. But there are over a billion of people all over the world who don't have access to clean water! Ridiculous! We're dying and killing ourselves over debt but our brothers & sisters are dying because of lack of clean water. Water has so many more  uses besides just drinking! Charity:water  says that the average American uses 150 gallons of water a day while the average person in a developing country struggles to find 5 gallons! This is what charity:water says to the question "Why water?" U nsafe water and lack of basic sanitation cause 80% of all sickness and disease, and kill more people every year than all forms of

child logic: waitress vs. God

That sounds like something my 6 year old would say! Malachi 3:10-12 (King James Version) 10Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. 11And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts. 12And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts.
