Mission Mondays

WE used to feature a mission related post each monday here on OneMessage.OneFaith.
Mission Mondays.
My heart has been to start that again, but I just did not know where to start.

When Jesus told the disciples in Acts 1, to wait for the promise of the Holy Ghost, these words were said to them
"But you will receive power, after the Holy Ghost is come upon you, and you shall be my witnesses- both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost parts of the earth."

He wanted them to start closest to home, then ripple outward, and outward still, until it was the "uttermost parts of the earth.

In this season, where many hearts are ripe for giving and receiving- some uncharacteristically so- let us witness even more purposefully to those who are closest to "home".

Truthfully, "home" is sometimes the hardest place to start- they are with you "behind closed doors" sorta speak. But once you are able to witness to your family and close friends, then witnessing to others you do not know, is less intimidating.

So for Today, December 12, 2011, our focus mission is
HOME.
So go ahead and pick up the phone if you need to, write that email, or simply, open the room door...

GO into ALL the world and, and preach the Gospel to EVERY one- Mark 16:15

Mission: New Tribes

Hi Family! We hope that your holiday was truly blessed! Not blessed with things  but blessings of fellowship, giving, and most importantly, love. I think we take for granted the opportunity to be surrounded by people who  actually  want to be around us and who want to invest in our lives in some way! Although our year is full of holidays of pagan origin, they are awesome times for the family of God to gather together and just love on each other! Also, I surely don't take holidays that my husband gets off of work lightly! Love....

Mark says, "I love to inspire people's lives with truth and humor. There are a lot of performers that make people laugh, and there are a lot of speakers who give solid principles for living. I want to do both...Our secular culture over-romanticizes marriage and our Christian culture over spiritualizes it. The reality is that relationships between men and women are very down to earth...Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage® is about helping couples get it right, get along, have fun, and achieve a successful marriage." Mission: Christmas Blessing

Peace & love everybody! I've been so excited it's been hard to contain myself regarding today's mission! I hope that after reading this post, you'll be as encouraged as I am now! Known by most today as "the last Stalinist country" and according to VOM, "one of the most repressive and isolated regimes in the world", North Korea needs our prayers, monetary support, and volunteers. It's even being reported that a holocaust is occurring there as I'm writing this! Christians are being tortured, killed, and having "experiments" run on them all because they testify that Jesus is their Lord. Read a short synopsis of what Persecution.com has to say about North Korea and check out their related links. Thanks to our family over at The Voice of the Martyrs, we will be able to encourage and support our North Korean brothers and sisters! With our donations of $50 we will be able to sponsor a package that will have hard-to-get essentials, ...
