What do you expect when you enter a church?
A good buzzy feeling? Some sort of tear jerker that seduces your conscious into believing you connected with God? Meeting a warm group of people to be with when you need a pick me up?
Is it to dance and clap and wave, and feel good about feeling good? To show your face to make sure everyone knows you were and always will be- there?
Or is it to show God you acknowledge his worth, and to magnify the Lord, making him bigger than your very life? Isn't it to support the cause called God, and to further His effect?
One thing for sure, you should never leave the same way you came. You should always leave better in some way. You should leave with an increase in faith, in purpose, in strength, and in passion. You should leave with a decrease of doubt, of condemnation, of fear, and selfish lustful ambition.
Come in one way, and purpose to leave out another.
Ezekiel 46:9 When the people of the land come before the LORD at the appointed festivals, whoever enters by the north gate to worship is to go out the south gate; and whoever enters by the south gate is to go out the north gate. No one is to return through the gate by which they entered, but each is to go out the opposite gate.
