Tomorrow?

Exodus 8:9-10
9And Moses said unto Pharaoh, Glory over me: when shall I intreat for
thee, and for thy servants, and for thy people, to destroy the frogs
from thee and thy houses, that they may remain in the river only?
10 And he said, To morrow. And he said, Be it according to thy word:
that thou mayest know that there is none like unto the LORD our God.

This greatly intrigued me. Pharaoh is in the middle of a plague. This
isn't your cute, run of the mill, "oooh, ahhh, look at the little
froggy" type frogs. Frogs were climbing over your belly and arms and
head as you tried to sleep. When you decided, I can't sleep, you get up
and step undauntingly on a squishy, gut and fluid filled balloon of
slime. You catch your balance and fall into a swarm of- you guessed it-
frogs. Were they the same species? A myriad of different kind of frogs,
all shapes and sizes? And can you imagine the noise?
So, uh, when would you like me to rid you of these, er, frogs? The
response: hm, tomorrow sounds good.
Really? Tomorrow?
And it draws me to wonder how often do we hold on to our habits, our
gripes, our grudges, our complaining, our endless list of negatives, and
the almighty Jehovah offers resolution? Things that we are, without
question uncomfortable with, yet are willing to live with it because we
do not want to give up, its "parent".
Pharoah's pride was the parent of the plagues on Egypt. What is giving
birth to our negatives- Negatives that God wants to free us from?
Is it idolatry- acknowledging something higher than Jehovah? Is it
selfishness- idolizing self? Is it fear- unable to let God have the
steering wheel? Maybe its temporary gain. Whatever it is,
God is saying, when do you want to be free?
May I make a suggestion? How about, today?

Mission: New Tribes

Hi Family! We hope that your holiday was truly blessed! Not blessed with things  but blessings of fellowship, giving, and most importantly, love. I think we take for granted the opportunity to be surrounded by people who  actually  want to be around us and who want to invest in our lives in some way! Although our year is full of holidays of pagan origin, they are awesome times for the family of God to gather together and just love on each other! Also, I surely don't take holidays that my husband gets off of work lightly! Love....

Mission: Christmas Blessing

Peace & love everybody! I've been so excited it's been hard to contain myself regarding today's mission! I hope that after reading this post, you'll be as encouraged as I am now! Known by most today as "the last Stalinist country" and according to VOM, "one of the most repressive and isolated regimes in the world", North Korea needs our prayers, monetary support, and volunteers. It's even being reported that a holocaust is occurring there as I'm writing this! Christians are being tortured, killed, and having "experiments" run on them all because they testify that Jesus is their Lord. Read a short synopsis of what Persecution.com has to say about North Korea and check out their related links. Thanks to our family over at The Voice of the Martyrs, we will be able to encourage and support our North Korean brothers and sisters! With our donations of $50 we will be able to sponsor a package that will have hard-to-get essentials, ...
