I held him, and will not let him go: Solomon 3-4

Solomon 3:1-4
By night on my bed I sought the one I love;

I sought him, but I did not find him.
2 “ I will rise now,” I said,
And go about the city;
In the streets and in the squares
I will seek the one I love.”
I sought him, but I did not find him.
3 The watchmen who go about the city found me;
I said,
“ Have you seen the one I love?”
4 Scarcely had I passed by them,
When I found the one I love.
I held him and would not let him go,

Doesn't it feel good to be wanted enough that someone will go after you? Glory be to God! My heart is buzzing still, from my intimate hour with the Lord this morning. Hallelujah! I am giddy and enraptured with the overflow of God's presence. My spirit is light and refreshed, and charged. It's like an old song  that says :

"I keep falling in love with him
 over and over
and over and over again
I keep fallin gin love with him
over and over
and over and over again
It gets sweeter and sweeter as the days go by
oh what joy between my lord and I
falling in love with him
over and over
and over and over again!"
So when I look at the scripture for today, and it is Solomon 3-4, I think, how fitting! There is a seeking and a finding. When you fall in love with Jesus, there is a desire for the things of God that can not be understood by the natural man. But first you must seek him. Go after him! Chase after him with passion.  Do not be satisfied with the mediocre, man-made, convenient approach to God! Dive into the Word, approach it with increased hunger. And when you seek the Lord,  he will be found. .  His word says, when you draw near to God, he will draw near to you ( James 4:8). And when you find him,seek more of him, and never let him go. Stay in his grip.

Mission: Christmas Blessing

Peace & love everybody! I've been so excited it's been hard to contain myself regarding today's mission! I hope that after reading this post, you'll be as encouraged as I am now! Known by most today as "the last Stalinist country" and according to VOM, "one of the most repressive and isolated regimes in the world", North Korea needs our prayers, monetary support, and volunteers. It's even being reported that a holocaust is occurring there as I'm writing this! Christians are being tortured, killed, and having "experiments" run on them all because they testify that Jesus is their Lord. Read a short synopsis of what Persecution.com has to say about North Korea and check out their related links. Thanks to our family over at The Voice of the Martyrs, we will be able to encourage and support our North Korean brothers and sisters! With our donations of $50 we will be able to sponsor a package that will have hard-to-get essentials, ...

Build a defense in Judah: 2Chronicles 11-15

" This time I will Praise the Lord, so she named him Judah"- Gen.29:35 In our reading passage for today 2 things jumped out for me. First, 2 chronicles 11:5 tells us that Solomon's son, Rehoboam built defense cities in Judah. Their is safety and defense in praise, and it is the best thing to build a defense in. Psalms tells us that God inhabits the praise of his people ( Ps. 22:3) Second, one of the defense cities is Bethlehem. Bethlehem? A defense city, Who woulda thought, but then how fitting for God to make an appearance, in a defense built in praise. I thought it was cool. Share your thoughts!
