Expressions: Hebrews 1-4

According to webster the word expression from the latin word expresses means "to press out".
When we ex-press ourselves, whether we say a word, make a facial ex-pression, or take an action, we are pressing out ourselves in a visible or audible manner. This allows someone else to see who we are, from the inside. See what we stand for, what we believe in- WHO WE ARE.

Take a look at this passage from Hebrews 1
1 God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, 2 has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; 3 who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

Who is His Son and the express image of His person? Jesus Christ.
1John 5

6This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.
7For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

Let's look closer at verse seven.
There are three that bear record in heaven-
1.The Father- one who originates or institutes, provider and protector, paternal originator of a child; all ex-pressions of God
2.The Word ( which in Greek is Logos meaning the thought/ plan) of God, an ex-pression of God; and
3.The Holy Ghost, the imparted Spirit of God,an ex-pression of God.
It only makes sense then, that these three are one, for , your thoughts are not separate from you, but they are , in fact, you and the essence of you.  Your spirit is what makes you, you.You and your expressions are one.

Got me?

If we can agree that the ex-pressions of ourselves reveals us, then we can agree-- just like the One from whose image we are made-- that the expressions of GOD is the revelation of himself.

When a loved one dies, we can still keep them alive in our hearts because their body may be gone, but their ex-pressions, the way they pressed themselves out by their words or actions, still live. Expressions can not die.
When God ex- pressed himself in the form of a human being, that ex-pression could not die. The body lacked life when the spirit of God left that body, but when God pressed himself, if you will, back into the body, it came back to life.

God's ultimate Plan from the beginning of time was to reveal himself through the expression of the image from which we were created, in human form. To prepare the world for this expression, from the old testament to the new testament, he revealed his name as Mighty God to Abraham; then as Jehovah to Moses; then to Isaiah, as a given Son, wonderful counsellor, mighty God, everlasting Father, Prince of Peace; then to Mary as Jesus, the Christ, who will come in the flesh to save HIs people from their sins.

Why? To have a relationship with us, creator with the creation. We are children of GOD and we are a part of his plan.

Mission: Christmas Blessing

Peace & love everybody! I've been so excited it's been hard to contain myself regarding today's mission! I hope that after reading this post, you'll be as encouraged as I am now! Known by most today as "the last Stalinist country" and according to VOM, "one of the most repressive and isolated regimes in the world", North Korea needs our prayers, monetary support, and volunteers. It's even being reported that a holocaust is occurring there as I'm writing this! Christians are being tortured, killed, and having "experiments" run on them all because they testify that Jesus is their Lord. Read a short synopsis of what Persecution.com has to say about North Korea and check out their related links. Thanks to our family over at The Voice of the Martyrs, we will be able to encourage and support our North Korean brothers and sisters! With our donations of $50 we will be able to sponsor a package that will have hard-to-get essentials,

Earnestly contend for the Faith: Jude

Today's passage is Revelation 18-22, but here I am one book behind in Jude. I just wanted to spend some time in this one chaptered book. I love that the Word of God is LIVELY and ACTIVE, and, though never changing, it is always revealing. I got stuck on Jude verse 3. The words EARNESTLY and CONTEND, made me think, wow, we have to put up a fight for this thing. I read, and scribbled in my notebook as I went through. Here is what I wrote:

child logic: waitress vs. God

That sounds like something my 6 year old would say! Malachi 3:10-12 (King James Version) 10Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. 11And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts. 12And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts.
