2 Thessalonians
The air chills and leaves fall aimlessly to the ground. They fall with less and less effort from the wind as they die, unable to hold on for lack of nutrients, for lack of strength.

Here is the Christ followers forecast.
Where the Farmer's almanac may fall short, this book depicts not just the weather, but the spiritual outlook of the future.
The Apostles, inspired by God sent letters of teaching to all the new and growing saints. After seeing what it was the Apostles did, in the record of their actions in the book of acts, the Christ follower is made aware of the maturation process of salvation. Letters to churches in Rome ( Romans), Corinth, Galatia, Ephesus, Phillipi, Collose, Thessalonica, and more, give us access to for-your-eyes-only information for the believer.
It is to the believer, that Paul, Sylvanus, and Timothy, compile a letter encouraging the saints to hold fast to what they have been taught. There is a sense of urgency as they make refernce to that Day.
They share a startling sign pointing to that Day- Deception.
Many will fall away from the truth, deceived by a great deluding spirit, causing men to believe a lie.
Who will fall? Those who believed, but did not have a LOVE for the truth; Who believed only in part, but disregarded the truths that may have made them uncomfortable; Those who became prideful with the knowledge of the truth, and forgot that it is the power of God that works out their salvation.
The Apostles write:
Therefore bretheren, stand fast and hold the traditions which you were taught , whether by word, or by letter- 2 Thess. 2:13
Do not be soon shaken in mind...- 2 Thess. 2:2
Despite all new fangled approaches to salvation in an effort to make us comfortable, stay in the word of God. Like the leaves falling away from the branch because of lack, if we dilute our nutrients, to the point of nothingness, we will fall away.
Forecast says troubled times ahead, but hold on, buckle up, and clamp down. When the ride is over we will see our savior coming in clouds.
Departure: Now
Destination: Christ
