The changing of years- 2011 to 2012


As year 2011 comes to a close, it's easy to look ahead at the fresh start of the new year. There will be changes that happen because we make them. There will be changes that happen because they make us. In spite of all the changes, there will be some things that may not change- no matter how much we may want them to.


We as his children can give praise to an all-knowing God who thinks good thoughts toward us. Whatever the future holds, it's in very capable hands.

Build a defense in Judah: 2Chronicles 11-15

" This time I will Praise the Lord, so she named him Judah"- Gen.29:35 In our reading passage for today 2 things jumped out for me. First, 2 chronicles 11:5 tells us that Solomon's son, Rehoboam built defense cities in Judah. Their is safety and defense in praise, and it is the best thing to build a defense in. Psalms tells us that God inhabits the praise of his people ( Ps. 22:3) Second, one of the defense cities is Bethlehem. Bethlehem? A defense city, Who woulda thought, but then how fitting for God to make an appearance, in a defense built in praise. I thought it was cool. Share your thoughts!
