The way to preach Christ

Romans 16:25-26 25  Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, 26  But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:-  There is a certain way to preach Christ. He is not to be preached according to what feels right or good or exciting to our ears or minds. Christ is to be preached according to the mystery that is now made manifest. This mystery is now revealed. What is that mystery? How is it revealed? to whom is it revealed? 1. What is that mystery? Let's look at what the bible says about "the mystery" Mark 4:11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the  mystery  of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: What is...

Enduring Faith

Luke 21:12-15 Solomon said it once: "The race is not given to the swift,  neither to the strong. Ecclesiastes 9:11. Jesus himself said that "he who endures to the end shall be saved." Matthew 10:22. The key to endurance in this race is faith in God. If we believe that He is who He says, and will therefore do what only God can do,  then it is easy to endure. Hebrews 11:6. Paul in Acts 21:13 was willing not only to be bound,  but to die for the gospels sake. He knew to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:8.  Can I make this same proclamation?  Only with enduring faith. 2 Timothy 4:7

FIG leaves are not enough

"It seems that many of us today are spiritually settling."  Satan has convinced us that the voice of God is enough. Adam and Eve ate of the tree of knowledge of good and evil and could still hear and recognize God's voice. Genesis 3:8 Yes, they heard God's voice. What they were suddenly robbed of was the presence of God. The presence of God is where there is fullness of joy and pleasures evermore. Psalm 16:11 But we have settled. We have become OK with half joy and fleeting pleasures. We have convinced ourselves that as long as we hear God's voice we are okay. But the scriptures in 2 Timothy 3:5 warn us of this way of thinking. Good idea, but what did God say? " They tried to use a natural solution for a spiritual problem.  They gave up their liberty to be in God's holy presence." In Genesis 3 Adam and Eve chose self gratification over obedience and suddenly felt uncovered. They were naked all along before they disobeyed their Fathe...
