How do you think you'd feel to have a personal invitation from a King to come closer to him? John receives such an invitation in Revelation 4, and he is captivated by all he sees. His record is so vivid as he depicts the throne, the one on the throne, and the sights around it. "Then as I looked, I saw a door standing open in heaven, and the same voice I had heard before spoke to me like a trumpet blast. The voice said,  “Come up here, and I will show you what must happen after this.” (NLT)    And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne. 3  And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald ."(KJV) - Revelation 4:1-3  First I take note of the open door. It appeals differently to me now, knowing that we are living in the end of the book. Amazing and exhilarating.
